PUTRAJAYA, May 14 — The price of imported white rice (BPI) at all Padiberas Nasional Bhd (Bernas) warehouses in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, and Sarawak will be adjusted to RM2,600 per tonne starting tomorrow (May 15).

PUTRAJAYA, Mar 1 — The Control of Padi and Rice Act 1994 (Act 522) does not have clear provisions for prosecuting people involved in the 50-year-old practice of mixing imported white rice (BPI) and local white rice (BPT), said the Agriculture and Food Security Ministry (MAFS).

PUTRAJAYA, Nov 29 — Padiberas Nasional Bhd (Bernas) has agreed to reduce the warehouse gate price of imported white rice in Peninsular Malaysia from RM3,000 per tonne to RM2,800 per tonne, effective December 1.
